But an unexpected car accident took away her Winter Olympics dream, which made people infinitely regrettable.

On February 4, when the countdown to the first anniversary of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhang Xinyue accepted an interview with the author.

  Before the age of 20, Jilin girl Zhang Xinyue was China's top snowboard U-shaped pool athlete.

She was born in Shulan City, Jilin Province in 1989 and practiced martial arts since childhood.

In 2003, China introduced snowboarding, and Shenyang Sports Institute began to form a snowboarding team, and soon selected Zhang Xinyue, who was 14 years old and had practiced martial arts for 5 years.

  "At that time, China was all skating double-board, almost no single board, to form a new team from other sports teams, I was selected." Zhang Xinyue said.

  Zhang Xinyue soon showed amazing talent in the single-board U-shaped pool project.

In 2004, in a national championship series held at Beijing Yunfoshan Ski Resort, only 15-year-old Zhang Xinyue won the championship in optional action.

  During the preparations for the Asian Winter Games in 2006, Zhang Xinyue completed a 900-degree turn with the Chinese national team in the Japanese training.

At that time, there were only a handful of women in the world who could complete a 900-degree turn, and Zhang Xinyue was the first woman in China.

In the end at this Asian Winter Games, she won her fifth place.

  Including her coach, they are infinitely optimistic about the future of this short girl.

In the following years, Zhang Xinyue also accepted the baptism of the World Championships and the World Cup. At that time, her dream was to fight for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics for her country.

  However, a sudden car accident completely shattered her dream.

On the way back to her hometown from vacation in 2009, Zhang Xinyue's long-distance bus was driven by fatigue due to the driver's fatigue. At 3 o'clock in the morning, she reared the truck on the highway.

  "At that time, my right thigh femoral shaft and right talus were fractured in many places." Zhang Xinyue said, right leg and right foot were implanted with multiple fixation steel plates and nails, and he lay in bed for 3 months after the operation.

After the expert consultation, she told her that she would not be able to do skiing in the future, and that she could walk like a normal person without being lame or disabled.

  More than ten years later, Zhang Xinyue described this terrible injury and could face it calmly.

After that, she began to work hard to recover and practice on her own, while doing her undergraduate studies at Shenyang Sports College.

After more than two years of rehabilitation and practice, Zhang Xinyue can not only walk like a normal person, but also stand on the snowboard again.

  After graduating from university, Zhang Xinyue worked as a snowboard coach in a ski club in Shenyang.

In the summer of 2016, she suddenly received a call from her former national teammate, hoping that she would teach at Zhangjiakou Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School, the first Winter Olympics school in China.

  "If you can't be a world champion, it's not bad to be a coach of the world champion." Zhang Xinyue said.

Since then, she has come to work and live in Zhangjiakou.

Every snow season, young athletes must be taken to train in the ski resort of Chongli.

  Zhang Xinyue said that in recent years, 31 people from Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School have been selected for the national training team, and 29 people have joined the Hebei province training team. They have won more than 400 medals in various competitions.

  Zhang Xinyue's Winter Olympic complex has been lingering.

In the summer of 2017, she saw the notice on the Internet that the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports of China organized the training of national ski referees, and she inspired the idea of ​​taking ski referees.

  Thanks to the professional experience of athletes and coaches, Zhang Xinyue successfully passed the International Snow Federation C-level referee certification exam.

"My dream now is to be in charge of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and realize my own Winter Olympic dream."

  In this regard, Zhang Xinyue has been working hard and constantly enriching her own judging experience: the 2018-2019 snow season, the International Snow Federation snowboard and freestyle skiing U-shaped venue World Cup (Genting Station) as an auxiliary referee; 2019-2020 snow season The FIS Snowboard and Freestyle World Cup (Genting Station) served as an auxiliary referee; a number of national championships served as scoring referees and were awarded outstanding referees...

  On February 4, Zhang Xinyue, who was training young athletes at the Fulong Ski Resort in Chongli, said that if nothing else, she should be able to participate in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics as a referee.

"Refers who have obtained FIS C-level certification cannot be used as scoring referees, but can be used in other positions, such as starting referees and finish referees."

  Zhang Xinyue said that during this year, she should also improve her oral English ability, and understand the game process, referee manual, game rules, venue layout, start and finish arrangements, etc.

  She said that in the future, it will also impact the International Snow Federation B-level referee certification and the International Snow Federation A-level referee certification, and eventually become a scoring referee in the Winter Olympics.
