We have long wondered what the Aurumn Nations Cup could be used for.

The answer is now clear: to rehabilitate Brice Dulin within the XV of France.

The Stade Rochelais full-back, phenomenal against England a few months ago, will start against Italy for the Frenchman's first outing in the 2021 Six Nations Tournament.

The tenure of Dulin dismisses Anthony Bouthier, not retained, who was titular at the post of back during the 2020 edition of the Tournament.

Gabin Villière, also convincing during his first two selections in the fall, was preferred to Damian Penaud, who will be a replacement.

Composition of the starting XV:

Dulin - Villière, Vincent, Fickou, Thomas - (o) Jalibert, (m) Dupont - Ollivon (cap.), Alldritt, Cretin - Willemse, Le Roux - Haouas, Marchand, Baille

Alternates:

Bourgarit, Gros, Aldegheri, Taofifenua, Jelonch, Serin, Carbonel, Penaud
