[Subtitle] Since Beijing's successful bid for the Winter Olympics in 2015, the construction of competition venues has attracted worldwide attention.

At the end of 2020, all competition venues in the three major competition areas of the Beijing Winter Olympics will be completed, and the construction of related supporting infrastructure will be completed simultaneously.

From the high-value-looking national speed skating hall "Ice Ribbon" to the gorgeously transformed "Ice Cube", to the national snowmobile sled center that is the most difficult to design in the Winter Olympics project, let's take a look at these Winter Olympics "stars" "What is the director of the competition venue?

  1. National Speed Skating Stadium: Create the "fastest ice"

[Explanation] The National Speed Skating Pavilion is the only newly-built ice competition venue for the Beijing Winter Olympics. It uses many new technologies and techniques such as construction and ice making. It is also the world's first to adopt carbon dioxide transcritical direct cooling ice making technology. Winter Olympic speed skating venues.

This technology is currently the most advanced and environmentally friendly ice-making technology in the world, with carbon emissions approaching zero, and ice-making energy efficiency has been greatly improved.

[Concurrent] Cheng Shujie, Secretary General of Stadium Operations, National Speed Skating Stadium Test Run Team

We can realize ice making on the whole ice surface, and at the same time can control the temperature in different regions, and the temperature difference is very, very small, so in this case, we ensure that the ice making process is very smooth, and as the base under the ice surface, in the construction The accuracy requirements in the process are very high to ensure the smoothness of the ice surface.

  2. Winter Olympic curling venue: the world's first venue to achieve "water-to-ice conversion"

[Explanation] The National Aquatics Center "Water Cube" will be transformed into an "Ice Cube" during the Winter Olympics, becoming the world's first "Ice Water Amphibian" venue integrating swimming and curling competitions.

The biggest difficulty in the transformation lies in the addition of on-ice functions on the basis of retaining the functions on the water, so that the "Water Cube" and "Ice Cube" can be interchanged.

This conversion mode not only realizes "water-ice conversion", but also realizes the reuse of conversion materials, which greatly reduces the cost of later dismantling and reconstruction.

[Concurrent] Women's Curling World Champion Wang Bingyu

I think that for such a concept of "water to ice" and "ice to water", I think it really shocked the world.

And the preservation of such an Olympic heritage, I think it is the most representative venue of the "Double Olympic City".

I am really looking forward to the 2022 curling competition and I believe it will be very, very exciting.

  3. National Snowmobile and Sled Center: the world's first 360-degree slalom track

[Explanation] Looking down from the top of Xiaohaituo Mountain in Yanqing, the 1.9-kilometer track of the National Snow Sled Center at the foot of the mountain is like a giant dragon lying still.

The National Snowmobile Sled Center is China's first snowmobile sled project track and the world's first 360-degree sled race track. The construction process has filled many technical gaps in China.

[Concurrent] Li Changzhou, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Beijing Enterprises Beijing Olympic Construction Co., Ltd.

We have a system to perform shading treatment, and then add sun blinds to form a microclimate to meet the needs of the competition.

Among all the 17 (sleds and sleds) tracks (in the world), only ours has a 360-degree roundabout, and the difficulty of the whole (track) is also a record.

  4. National Ski Jumping Center: China's first ski jumping venue

[Explanation] The National Ski Jumping Center is China's first ski jumping venue and one of the main venues for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

The highest point at the top has a drop of more than 160 meters from the ground. It is the competition venue with the largest amount of engineering and the most technical difficulty in the construction of the Winter Olympic venues in the Zhangjiakou competition area.

The main building is inspired by the traditional Chinese ornament "Ruyi", so it is vividly called "Snow Ruyi".

[Concurrent] Zhang Li, Chief Planner of Zhangjiakou Division of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Dean of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University

Its (ski jumping) track itself is a very smooth and smooth S-shaped curve.

The expression of an important S-shaped curve in our Chinese cultural elements is the image of Ruyi.

So naturally there is a stadium underneath it. This is not difficult to do. The key is the top part. The part where we are now. Of course, through the benefits of digging a space between us (the top), the center of gravity is shifted back. The overhang will become more stable and at the same time make the image lighter.

[Subtitle] Looking forward to one year later, the stunning appearance of the various Winter Olympic stadiums!
