Agreement between Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Mubadala to sponsor the UAE Tour 2021
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Mubadala Investment Company have signed an agreement under which Strata Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Mubadala, will sponsor the third phase of the third edition of the Emirates Tour 2021, which will be held in seven stages during the period from 21 to 27, and is the inaugural race for the 2021 racing season. It is the only global race in the Middle East, as part of the UCI racing agenda.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in the presence of the Council's Secretary General, Arif Hamad Al-Awani, Hamid Abdullah Al-Shammari, Group Executive Vice President, and CEO of Corporate Affairs and Human Resources at Mubadala Investment Company.
The third phase will extend for a distance of 166 km, and this tour is scheduled to start from the company's headquarters at Al Ain International Airport towards the summit of Jebel Hafeet, passing through many of the most prominent landmarks in Al Ain.
Aref Al-Awani stressed the importance of signing this agreement, explaining that Mubadala's continuous support for various global and community sporting events reflects the company's true values and its pursuit of commitment to social responsibility and the national role and achieving integration in partnerships, which confirms its permanent presence in providing support, encouragement and motivating the community to a healthy sports style. And positive practices, expressing his thanks to Mubadala for its keenness to sponsor the Emirates Tour.
On his part, Al-Shammari said: “We are proud of our partnership with the Emirates Tour, this partnership that falls within the framework of our keenness to support sporting activities and events that have a positive impact on society inside and outside the UAE, and through this sponsorship, we look forward to inspiring and motivating the new generation of athletes to achieve achievements. And encouraging community members to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and we are pleased that the third stage of the Emirates Tour will start from the headquarters of Strata, our leading manufacturing facility in Al Ain. ”
