The "Corona" case isolates hundreds of players and employees in the Australian Tennis Championships

Hundreds of players and employees participating in the Australian Open Tennis Championship, the first Grand Slam tournament in the Grand Slam, will be isolated after a positive case of a staff member in hotels designated for players.

However, Victorian State Minister Daniel Andrews considered that this step will not have any impact on the Australian championship, which starts next Monday in Melbourne.

Andrews revealed that the infected person was an employee of the "Grand Hyatt" hotel, and therefore all players who stay in this hotel are considered contacts.

Andrews, who held a press conference in a hurry, added, "There are 500, 600 people, including players, employees and others, who are considered to be in contact, and therefore they will be isolated until they undergo a negative examination, and this matter will happen tomorrow."

As the results usually come within 24 hours, there is no risk of holding the Australian Open early next week, according to him, "The program of tomorrow's matches in preparation for the tournament may be affected, but at this moment there is no effect on the tournament itself."

Six tournaments for men and women are being held in Melbourne as part of preparations for the big tournament.

The players and players participating in the Australian Championship were subjected to quarantine in hotel rooms designated for them upon their arrival about 20 days ago to Australia, in implementation of the health procedures adopted in the country on those coming to it.
