The former president of Rugby Club Toulonnais (RCT) Mourad Boudjellal will change sports grounds and rebound in football by becoming the majority shareholder of Hyères Football Club (National 2), where he will install Nicolas Anelka as sports director.
“We will increase the club's resources, but we must not panic.
We are not going to work miracles.
My ambition is to help the amateur world.
It's good for projects at the moment, ”the former Toulon captain told AFP.
After having devoted a large part of his career to rugby as a leader, "it's fun to switch to football for me," he added, also congratulating himself that the former international Nicolas Anelka, passed by PSG, Arsenal or Real Madrid, “sticks well” with the players.
Hyères in the absence of OM
Tuesday morning, the agreement with the club was signed at the town hall of Hyères (Var), the club tweeted.
His arrival as a majority shareholder was formalized through the creation of a professional sporting limited company (SASP).
Last summer, Franco-Tunisian businessman Mohamed Ajroudi had multiplied media outlets claiming to want to buy OM.
Associated with this offer, rejected many times by the American owner of the club Frank McCourt, Mourad Boudjellal was supposed to become president of the club if successful.
