At the special governance meeting of professional leagues held on December 14 last year, the Chinese Football Association issued the "Notice on the Implementation of Non-Corporate Change of Club Names in Professional Leagues at All Levels", requiring club names not to include any shareholders, related parties, or actual controllers. The font size, trade name or brand name of, and similar or similar Chinese or phrases are not allowed.

On January 8 this year, the Football Association issued an announcement stating that in all the club name change materials, more than 80% of clubs declared their names to meet the requirements of relevant documents.

A small number of clubs need to modify it again due to inaccurate understanding of the document requirements, or the declared name is connected with the club’s shareholder affiliated company.

Prior to this, some clubs have completed a neutral rename.

For example, "Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club Co., Ltd." has been renamed "Guangzhou Football Club Co., Ltd.".

And Tianjin TEDA Football Club Co., Ltd. also announced that it was renamed "Tianjin Jinmen Tiger Football Club Co., Ltd.".

In the future, Jiangsu Suning's new name will be changed to Jiangsu team, and Qingdao Huanghai will also be renamed Qingdao team.
