Marseille have only won one of the last nine matches and now some of the team's supporters have had enough and are demanding the resignation of President Jacques-Henri Eyraud.

On Saturday, 150 to 200 supporters broke into the club's training facility.

Among other things, they are said to have set off fireworks and spray-painted the entrance with smoke bombs.

Defendants are said to have been hit

According to RMC, the police have arrested at least 25 people after the riots.

The newspaper L'Equipe writes that the team's defender Álvaro Gonzaléz is said to have suffered a minor injury to his back after receiving a projectile.

At 21 tonight, Marseille would have received Rennes.

But the French league Ligue 1 confirms shortly after 6pm on Twitter that the match will not be played tonight.
