Malmö has not played a match in three weeks due to corona infection in the team.

But on Saturday, they could finally play the match again when visiting Linköping.

A Linköping that lost 6-0 against Skellefteå last time.

It also started well for Malmö when the new acquisition Matt Puempel in his first match for the club lifted in 1-0 with a backhand up in the net.

However, the home team would come back before the first period was over through Jonas Holös who scored his fourth goal of the season.

The LHC turned around and won

Linköping would then receive a substantial dividend in the second period.

Alexander Johansson made it 2-1, PAtrik Lundh increased very nicely to 3-1 and Markus Ljungh made it 4-1.

Malmö would, however, get two reductions in the last period, where Matt Puempel scored another goal.

But Malmö did not come closer, instead Linköping decided with two goals in the open box in the end and won 6-3.

- We mix and give again, but we are here to win so it is great, says two-goal shooter Markus Ljungh to Cmore.

Despite the victory for Linköping, it was not just peace and joy.

Goalkeeper David Rautio, who recently joined, was sent off and had to be replaced after a period in which Niklas Lundström, who had been poked and severely questioned, had to replace him.

Malmö ny jumbo

With the victory, Linköping rose from the jumbo place to an eleventh place.

At the same time, Brynäs lost a swinging match away against Frölunda with 7-3 and Malmö is now a new jumbo, but they have also played significantly fewer matches than their bottom colleagues.

- It would be almost wrong to win considering how bad we played in the second period, says Malmö's coach Joakim Fagervall to Cmore.
