The French will not see the Handball World Cup final in Egypt.
The Blues bowed to Sweden (32-26).
They will nevertheless play a match for third place.
The French handball players, sextupules world champions (1995, 2001, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2017), lost in the semi-finals of the World-2021 against Sweden 32 to 26, Friday in Cairo.
For a bronze medal, the French will play Sunday against the loser of the other semi-final between Denmark, reigning world (2019) and Olympic (2016) champion, and Spain, double reigning European champion. (2018 and 2020), which face off on Friday evening (8:30 p.m.) in Cairo.
