Manchester United failed to take the lead in the Premier League from Manchester City on Wednesday.

Chelsea drew 0-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers with the debut of trainer Thomas Tuchel.

Manchester United blamed themselves at home by losing 1-2 to the bottom of the league Sheffield, which only booked its second win of the season.

Donny van de Beek was only allowed to come in in the final phase.

Sheffield led at half time thanks to a striking header from Kean Bryan.

Harry Maguire headed in the equalizing goal after half time from a corner.

The defender then also had a leading role in the 1-2.

With a strange pass back, he got goalkeeper David De Gea into trouble.

Sheffield regained possession deep in United's half and Oliver Burke fired in through the bottom crossbar.

The team of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one point behind fellow city rivals Manchester City, which has also played a game less.

Number three Leicester City failed to nest in points next to manager Pep Guardiola's team.

Leicester came no further than 1-1 on a visit to Everton.

James Rodrgiguez opened the score for the Liverpool team, halfway through the second half Youri Tielemans made it 1-1.

No shock effect on debut Tuchel

The arrival of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea has not caused a shock effect.

With the new trainer on the bench, the London team drew 0-0 at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tuchel was appointed on Tuesday as successor to the fired club icon Frank Lampard.

Under his leadership, Chelsea had dropped to ninth place in the Premier League.

The German coach, who had Paris Saint-Germain under his wing for the past 2.5 years, had made a starting place for Hakim Ziyech in his first game.

The former Ajax player, like many of his teammates, played fairly inconspicuously.

Chelsea started the game with difficulty, but gradually increased the pressure on Wolverhampton's goal during the second half.

Yet the biggest chance for 'The Wolves' was: a lob from Pedro Neto landed on top of the crossbar.

Youth international Ki-Jana Hoever participated in the entire second half at Wolverhampton.

The nineteen-year-old defender played his fifth Premier League game of the season.
