Eunah Hong (41), a professor at Ewha Womans University, was elected as the first female vice president of the Korean Football Association (KFA).
On the morning of the 27th, the KFA held a general meeting of delegates at the Jongno-gu Football Center in Seoul, and appointed 22 executives and two auditors including Professor Hong and the vice president.
Chairman Chung Mong-gyu began his third term as the 54th KFA president, and six vice-chairmen were decided on this day.
Professor Hong, who served as Korea's leading female international judge, was elected as the vice-chairman who will be responsible for the administration of women's soccer and referees.
Professor Hong is the first woman to become KFA vice president.
Professor Hong, who became the youngest Korean international judge in 2003, served as the first non-British referee at the 2010 England Football Association Women's FA Cup.In the same year, he became the first non-British referee in the opening game of the U-20 Women's World Cup in the same year. He was named as a referee for the opening game of the Football Federation (FIFA).
After retiring from active duty in 2012, he worked as a professor at his alma mater, Ewha Womans University's Department of Physical Education, as well as a FIFA referee instructor.
After retirement, Kim Byeong-ji, 51, who has been actively active as a YouTuber and is highly popular with the public, also takes on tasks such as revitalizing living football and expanding the base of football as a vice chairman of the Sports Culture Promotion Agency.
In addition, Dae-eun Kim (56), president of the Jeonbuk Football Association, and Professor Yong-soo Lee (62), from Sejong University, have been newly appointed as vice presidents.

Compared to the vice-presidents with more fresh faces, KFA explained that the five sub-chairpersons focused on'maintaining consistency in policy implementation'.

KFA also elected figures from various fields related to soccer as directors, such as Shin A-young (34), announcer Shin A-young (34), and Kim Jin-hee (40) game supervisor, to reflect the various voices of the field.
The administrative audit will be reappointed by Kang Seong-deok (56), president of the Chungbuk Football Association and Lee Tae-ho (60), former vice president of Samil Accounting Corporation.
Jeon Han-jin (51), secretary general, will be reappointed with Park Kyung-hoon (60), former Jeju United manager, who has already been announced as the nominee as the executive director in charge of the association's housekeeping.
The 54th Executive Office consists of 29 directors including Chairman Chung and 2 auditors.
The appointment of the remaining seven executives, which was not decided on this day, was delegated to Chairman Chung.
On this day, the articles of incorporation were revised, and the term of office for executives excluding the chairman from this executive department was reduced from four to two years.
The purpose of this is to evaluate the activities for two years and decide whether to continue working.
Chairman Chung said, "Over 60% of the board of directors has been newly formed, except for the sub-chairpersons that require continuity of policy. The KFA has changed by adopting female executives, including the first female vice-chairman, while making the average age younger in their early 50s. I'm thinking of leading them," he explained.
