In less than half a year before the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, a workshop was held for volunteers to confirm life-saving emergency procedures for preventing infection with the new coronavirus.

This workshop was held online on the night of the 26th by the Japan Foundation Volunteer Support Center, which supports the operation of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.



Approximately 500 people participated in the workshop, including tournament volunteers who are active in competition venues and city volunteers who guide the audience.



At the workshop, we introduced how to use AED and how to perform cardiac massage when a victim comes out during the activity.



He also explained precautions such as not using artificial respiration to prevent infection with the new coronavirus and putting a handkerchief on the mouth of the victim.



The man who participated said, "I'm worried about what the event will be like, but I want to do my best for the success of the tournament."

Mr. Shinya Kurata of the Japan Foundation Volunteer Support Center, who held the workshop, said, "I would like to continue to support the feelings of volunteers who are worried."
