Last week, Team Thoren announced in the ladies' SSL that they do not intend to release any players for the upcoming national team gathering.

No such plans have been discussed in the hockey league SHL ahead of the upcoming home tournament Beijer Hockey Games on February 11-14.

- No.

We raised this issue before the Karjala Tournament.

The union then showed a clear plan.

To test the players before, during and after the tournament.

We accepted that then, says SHL's sports director Johan Hemlin to SVT Sport.

The issue is not likely to be addressed now either.

- We will have a meeting today with the league.

Nobody's discussed this so it's not on the agenda.

Then it was associated with a trip abroad.

That is not the case now, Hemlin continues.

"A prerequisite in our agreement"

The same is true in the women's league SDHL, where the Women's Crowns will gather at training camp in Sundsvall on 8 February.

- It has not been up as an issue with us.

And it's a pretty simple thing.

This is a prerequisite in our agreement between the league and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

If the association decides for them to play or have training, then we will release our players, says SDHL's chairman Agne Bengtsson to SVT Sport.
