Veteran Atsushi Nomi, who left the professional baseball team Hanshin and joined Orix this season, said he was enthusiastic about training independently and saying, "I want to camp in with the feeling of being in the first year."

The 41-year-old pitcher Nomi has won a total of 104 starts and pitchers in Hanshin for 16 years, but he left the team only last season and joined Orix as a pitcher coach.

On the 26th, pitcher Nomi conducted voluntary training at a baseball team facility in Konohana-ku, Osaka, and first warmed up with a catch ball.

After that, pitcher Nomi, who entered the bullpen, sat down the catcher and threw 61 fastballs to prepare for the Miyazaki camp from the 1st of next month.

Pitcher Nomi said, "I want to camp in with the feeling of being in the first year. I want to throw the number of balls with the intention of starting in order to become the team's strength."

Regarding coaching as a pitcher coach, he said, "There are many young and talented players, so I hope I can help them well so that they can achieve good results."
