The head of the medical committee at the Egyptian Football Association, Mohamed Sultan, commented on the death of the junior player of the railroad team, Muhammad Hani Al-Kouri (17 years), during the match that brought his team together with the "sons of Qena" at the Al-Nahhas Stadium in Alexandria, after he fainted due to his injury Cramping and shortness of breath.

In statements published by Egyptian media outlets, including Al-Watan newspaper, Sultan said: “There are clear instructions not to start any match without an ambulance, in all patrols and for all ages,” indicating that there was no ambulance in the match, or Any medical personnel, from a doctor or paramedic, to provide assistance to the player.

He added: "The referee is supposed to cancel the match, in the absence of an ambulance, and this is what is stipulated in the regulations for competitions."
