Manchester City regained the lead in the Premier League on Tuesday evening with a resounding victory.

The team of coach Josep Guardiola was too strong for West Bromwich Albion with 0-5, while Arsenal won 1-3 for Southampton.

City takes the lead from fellow city rivals Manchester United.

The 'Red Devils' have a point and will play against Sheffield United on Wednesday, but then they have played one more game than City.

The 0-5 at WBA was the seventh league win in a row for City, which triumphed 1-3 at Cheltenham on Saturday in the FA Cup.

Halfway through, the six-time national champion already led 0-4 against the number nineteen through goals from Ilkay Gündogan (two), João Cancelo and Riyad Mahrez.

After the break, Raheem Sterling determined the final score at 0-5.

Nathan Aké did not belong to City's match selection against West Bromwich.

Arsenal is coming back from behind

Arsenal took revenge with the 1-3 win over Southampton, as 'The Saints' eliminated the Londoners in the FA Cup (1-0) last Saturday.

Stuart Amstrong took a quick 1-0 lead in St. Mary's Stadium, but Arsenal led 1-2 through goals from Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka before half time.

In the 72nd, Alexandre Lacazette signed for the third goal of the away team, which lost only two points in the Premier League in 2021.

Arsenal is now eighth.

West Ham United is in even bigger form.

The Hammers have won everything in 2021 (four times in the Premier League and twice in the FA Cup).

On Tuesday evening, West Ham, which has moved up to fourth place, was 2-3 too strong for Crystal Palace.
