In Kranjska Gora's first giant slalom on Saturday, she was the last skier to finish, almost eight seconds behind the lead.

The next day she was over five seconds behind the lead in the first run and was not even allowed to start in the second.

Now it was a completely different Hector on the hill.

She opened offensively and led by 0.23 in the second half where there were good conditions on the slopes that were framed by a fantastic winter landscape.

It got worse further down but Hector kept it well together and settled in as number eight just before the overall leader in the World Cup, Petra Vlhova.

"A good fight by Hector"

- It's a good fight by Hector even though she lost in the final as well as everyone else.

It was clearly more than approved, she came as number 15. She had an extra margin on the precipice.

It was fun to see her back considering what happened in Kranjska Gora, says SVT Sports expert Tobias Hellman.

Michelle Gisin took advantage of her early start number 2 and leads after the first run.

She was furiously fast in the difficult final part which quickly became a blow.

She herself did not believe in a good placement but made a disappointed gesture in the finish line.

Mikaela Shiffrin is second, 0.56 behind.

She made a stable ride without visible mistakes.

The overall leader in the World Cup, Petra Vlhova, had no flow or attack and is 1.49 behind.
