Radical changes in the Egyptian league next season ... most notably the increase in foreign players

The clubs of the first section of the Egyptian Football League recommended that the number of foreign players for each team be set to five, starting from the next season.

The Egyptian Football Association stated in an official statement, today, Monday, that the Premier League clubs recommended fixing the winter registration period in January, as well as the clubs ’participation in the junior competitions in the same section in which the club’s first team participates.

The Egyptian Federation stated that the clubs recommended to postpone the formation of the Professional League for the next season, and also asked the Federation to work on finding an alternative in the event that the video assistant referee (VAR) technology was disrupted, in order to ensure the stability of the application of technology in the stadiums.

Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Federation for the Game, confirmed that the committee hopes to end the current season in mid-July, but the presence of only four cars with (FAR) technology prevents this, so that matches are held each round over a period of three days.
