Esa Määttä had to leave Sirius with work environment problems as the reason behind the decision.

Now he is ready as the new head coach for table runner-up AIK.

- I will not change fundamentally but continue the work with some adjustments that give the team the right conditions to win, says Esa Määttä on the club's website.

Määttä's transfer to AIK means that former head coach Magnus Muhrén must take a step back.

But AIK writes that both he and colleague Oskar Robertson will be at Määttä's disposal for the rest of the season.

Määttä's first match as new coach will be on Wednesday when AIK visits Motala.
