Rögle continues to steam on.

Against the top competitor Luleå, they fixed an overtime victory, despite not being able to use a five-minute powerplay.

- There are two teams that are very stable defensively and it is important to take advantage of the positions you get in a match like this.

It's a warrior instinct.

I like that, and it's nice to be able to decide, says the winning shooter Anton Bengtsson in C More.

DeSousa was given a chance to change things around

Rögle took the lead in the middle of the first period and in the middle of the second they got a golden opportunity to pull away.

Luleå's Chris DeSousa got a match penalty after a knee tackle on Eric Gelinas who grinned badly, but was able to go back to the booth for his own machine and later return to play.

But Rögle did not manage to take advantage of the five-minute numerical superiority.

After just under three minutes played of the last period, Luleå's equalizer came instead.

Filip Hållander sent in 1-1 with a quick shot.

The match went to overtime where Anton Bengtsson decided for Rögle who now tops the SHL with 73 points.

Fabricius celebrated

In Luleå, 38-year-old Karl Fabricius made his 100th match and was honored with a small ceremony before the away match against Rögle.

Only two other players have reached that milestone: Jan Sandström (1057 matches) and David Petrasek (1038).

- He is a leader both on the track and in the locker room.

He is a skilled player, Luleå coach Thomas Berglund said about Fabricius in C More before the match.
