With only days left until the highlight of the year for the riders, Alexander Köll and Felix Monsén's serviceman were hit by corona.

The Slovenian Ziga Rosina, who normally makes sure that the Swedes have the right material under their feet, was quarantined outside Innsbruck and it was clear that he would miss the downhill race in Kitzbühel.

Instead, Sweden took in Lucas Braathen's serviceman, who became available after the Norwegian had the season ruined after crashing nasty in Adelboden's giant slalom.

Both the Norwegian Tor Schjevje and Sweden's Rosina work for the same ski brand.

- Really nice that they could arrange a new one at such short notice, says Monsén.

Now the dreaded downhill race in Kitzbühel awaits "Speedswedes", as they call themselves.

On Friday and Saturday, SVT broadcasts from the Hahnenkamm race in Austria.

- It's going to be really cool.

This is what I have longed for, says Alexander Köll who has Austrian roots on his father's side.

Friday's competition starts at 11.25 on SVT and Play.

SVT met "Speedswedes" in Kitzbühel earlier this week:
