The seventh edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Running Race, which was held yesterday morning on Al Hudayriat Island, witnessed a large participation of 650 participants.

The race was organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, with the aim of providing women with the opportunity to participate in a distinctive sporting experience in a natural beachy atmosphere.

Within vast areas, all the female competitors were able to run freely in the race, which extended its distances to 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km.

The 10 km race, consisting of two rings, started from a distance of 5 km at 7:30 am, while the 5 km class started at 7:45 am, and the 3 km class was launched at 8:15 am, and preventive measures and measures were followed during the race period.

This edition witnessed a noticeable increase in the number of entries compared to last year, which is in line with the Academy’s vision of making sport an element of the daily life of Emirati women, in light of the great support that women’s sport receives from various sides, which helped to continue organizing the race year after year. Until it became in its seventh edition this year to attract the largest possible number of women, and the running race series became one of the most successful activities that the Academy holds in the capital Abu Dhabi, and it has a great turnout of women.
