English newspaper defends Mohamed Salah in numbers amid accusations of "excessive selfishness"

Former Liverpool star, Michael Owen, returned to renew accusations against Egyptian "Reds" striker Mohamed Salah of "selfishness", which he said was "excessive", and that it is the most important reason for the team’s decline in attack in the recent period.

He repeated the same accusations made by former Liverpool legend Calagher and others.

On the other hand, the "Mirror" newspaper went to the defense of Salah, and was surprised that he was assigned more than his colleagues, Sadio Mane, and Firmino.

Owen said in a press statement yesterday: In Liverpool, there is a lot of selfishness. And he continued: In fact, Salah does not pass the ball much, but that this matter has become very exaggerated, and affects the team.

He indicated that in order for the team's conditions to improve, Salah must reduce selfishness in the front line, and share the ball and opportunities with the rest of his teammates.

But the newspaper published figures and statistics that it said underestimated what Owen said, and stated that Salah is the best among his colleagues and the most in terms of passing the ball, passing accuracy, and creating opportunities.

She said that, for example, in the Man United meeting, which ended in a draw, Salah's passing accuracy reached 90% more than Mane and Firmino, and 91% in the West Brom meeting, with 58 passes.

While she said that Salah scored once between the sticks in this match, compared to more shots by his colleagues.

On the other hand, she said that Salah is more effective in front of goal, as he scored 17 goals in all competitions, while Mane scored 9 goals.

With Robertson, Salah is the most in the decisive passes of his teammates, and overall, the passing accuracy in all matches to date has reached 83%, compared to 76% for Mani, and 79% for Firmino.

She said that the total of Salah's passes is about 100 more than his colleagues.

She said that Salah's average job creation in the ninety minutes was 1.35, compared to 1.12 for Mani and 0.8 for Firmino.
