Emirates Global Aluminum renews its golf sponsorship for Omega Dubai Desert Classic

Emirates Global Aluminum, the founding partner, has confirmed the renewal of the sponsorship of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic Golf Championship, in its 32nd edition, which brings together the best golfers in the world on the Majlis course at the Emirates Golf Club from March 28 to 31.

The company said, in a press release, that the renewal of its support for the championship comes from its keenness to support community initiatives and sporting events in the UAE.

The company is considered one of the partners in the success of the oldest event in the region in the European Golf Tour, and it has sponsored the championship since 1992, and has continued to do so annually, which contributed to strengthening the position of the UAE championship on the world stage.

One of the most prominent stars participating in the tournament this year is the Englishman Lee Westwood, who won the "Race to Dubai" title last season.

The commercial president of the company, Walid Al-Attar, identified three factors behind the continued sponsorship of the championship since 1992, and said that, like all major sporting events, they contribute to improving the quality of life for everyone in the emirate, besides that they play a role in developing the economy, and that this makes sponsorship another way for the company to contribute to diversification.
