ADO Den Haag presented its fourth acquisition of this winter on Monday.

Midfielder Tomislav Gomelt (26) is transfer-free from Serie A club Crotone and is already at his tenth club as a professional.

Gomelt only played two games for Crotone this season, which meant that he recently chose to have his contract terminated until next summer.

ADO does not have to pay a transfer fee for the Croat, who has signed an agreement in The Hague until the end of the season.

"I think my playing style suits ADO Den Haag and the Eredivisie", said Gomelt.

"At Crotone I mainly played as a defensive midfielder, but I can actually fill all roles in midfield."

The former youth international of Croatia has developed into a real club hopper in his extensive professional career.

He signed with Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, where he did not play a game in the main squad.

In the years that followed, Gomelt was also under contract - partly as a mercenary - with Espanyol B, Royal Antwerp, Bari, CFR Cluj, HNK Rijeka, Dinamo Bucharest, Lorca and Crotone.

ADO previously recorded the transfer-free routines Daryl Janmaat and Marko Vejinovic and Chelsea mercenary Juan Familia-Castillo this transfer period.

The team of trainer Ruud Brood is seventeenth and penultimate in the Eredivisie.
