Today, Cape Verde announced that they are withdrawing from the championship, after eleven positive covid-19 cases.
Already yesterday, they left the walk over to Germany.

The reason is that it is uncertain whether they can get ten healthy players together for their upcoming matches.
The International Handball Federation writes on its website that their upcoming matches will be written as 10-0 victories to Cape Verde's opponents.
