What an incredible finish!

While she was eleventh at the finish on the last shot, the French biathlete Julia Simon made the perfect shot by coming out first from the shooting range at Oberhof on Sunday during the mass start.

Galvanized, Simon then held this advantage to the finish line, to sign at 24 years the second success of his career in the World Cup, ahead of the German Franziska Preuss and the Swedish Hanna Oeberg.

A victory which allows the French team to end on a positive note this (long) mixed streak at Oberhof.

A little earlier in the day, the men had gone through their mass start, with a best French Simon Desthieux in 9th place.
