There has been nothing wrong with the Swedish left wing in the beginning of the World Handball Championship.

After Hampus Wanne's eleven goals in the premiere victory against Nordmakedeonien, Lucas Pellas got the chance against Chile - and scored twelve.

- That was what I tried to do when I found out I was going to start.

I am satisfied with my effort, twelve goals are absolutely approved, says Pellas.

Now the battle for the left-wing exposition is intensifying.

- The goal is to make it as difficult as possible for Glenn to choose.

Then it is a security for them and the team if any of us are worse off to be able to change and know that another good player will come in, says Pellas.

The league captain impressed

TT: How is the competition?

- When you play in the national team for such a short time, you work towards the same goal.

It's about taking us as far as possible.

If I get the chance, I will do the best I can and it will go well for Wanne, I am super happy for his sake.

Federation captain Glenn Solberg was pleased with what he saw of Pellas in the big win against Chile.

- It was a very good performance by Lucas.

He shoots and counters and does what he is good at, he says.

Which of Pellas and Wanne will get the chance in the next match is still unclear, but Solberg is happy about the options.

"Will be a completely different match"

- It is a long championship so it is good to have two good left sixes in that position, I only see that as positive.

They are good counterattack players and they just get better and better for us, he says.

On Monday, a group final awaits against the host nation Egypt, which also won its two opening matches.

Solberg expects a much tougher opposition, but also a different type of match.

- We have to reach a higher level than we had, but they will be a completely different match.

It is almost the complete opposite of what we were faced with yesterday.

They (Egypt) have very big, heavy and physical players.

Not like Chile which has a bit less players who are constantly looking for the line.

It will be a very different match, he says.
