After several races, Kristoffer Jakobsen held two races together in Flachau's slalom competition.

That was enough for an eighth place after the third fastest time of the second race.

Jakobsen has previously been ten as the best in the World Cup this season, and his personal best is two sixth places from the 2019 season.

Jakobsen was in 13th place before the second run.

When it was his turn in the second run, he took over the lead before the Swiss Ramon Zenhaeusern with a margin of 27 percent.

Norwegian victory

He held that lead until the Frenchman Alexis Pinturault started, who at the finish line was 44 hundredths faster than Jakobsen.

Pinturault's ride was enough for a total third place, behind the Austrian Marco Schwarz and the Norwegian winner Sebastian Foss-Solevåg.

The Norwegian won by 76 percent before Schwarz.
