In recent years, Sven Thorgren has handled much of his training directly in his own backyard.

There he has built up what he needs to be able to maximize his training before a new season.

A few years ago, Thorgren moved home from Monaco and then bought a farm just outside Kläppen in Dalarna with an associated barn.

This is where most of the pre - season training has taken place.

- I have taken my biggest steps in a number of years during a pre-season as I have done now.

It feels very good and I have had a lot of rides, unlike probably many other countries where there have been stricter restrictions.

I was here in Kläppen and drove in the spring and it feels like I am a couple of steps ahead of some others in any case, says Thorgren to SVT Sport.

How much of the preparation has your backyard here had?

- It has been involved quite a lot for me.

For the last two years I have had this and can start it whenever I want.

I can go out in the middle of the night if I feel like it and there will be a lot of flexibility in my training and it has helped me a lot.

Want to dare to win more

The first three races of the season were canceled.

But once it became a competition, Thorgren did well in Austrian, Kreischberg.

The 26-year-old Swede led the Big Air competition before the final jump round and finally finished second behind the Canadian, Max Parott.

Thorgren himself has the goal ready for this season.

- I want to dare to win a little more.

There is a very big difference between going for a podium and going to win.

Think that "it can be enough for the podium" or "it can be enough for profit".

The goal is to rather fail and try to win than to go for third place as I have done on some occasions.
