Mikaela Shiffrin had the lead before the second run in Kranjska Gora's giant slalom slope.

But the American did a much worse ride, finished sixth overall and had "only" the 15th best ride in the second ride.

Instead, it was a comfortable victory for the Italian Marta Bassino, who won by 66 percent before the Swiss Michelle Gisin.

Second victory in two days

Bassino, who was second before the second race, 30 hundredths after Shiffrin, hit the second time of the second race and now took his second victory in two days.

Second place Gisin could also sum up a successful weekend in Kranjska Gora, after Saturday's third place she followed up that success with second place on Sunday.

Third in Sunday's race was Slovenian Meta Hrovat, who kept more established skiers like Wendy Holdener, Petra Vlhova and the aforementioned Shiffrin off the podium.

For the Swedish part, it was a failure.

None of Sara Hector, Sara Rask, Estelle Alphand and Hilma Lövblom started in the second run.
