Uddevallasonen Jack Hermansson competes every day in the world's largest MMA organization, UFC, where he is ranked sixth in the world among the challengers for the champion belt in middleweight (84 kilos).

He went to his last match in early December, but the next one will take a while.

He tells SVT Sport about Saturday's accident:

- I was out ice fishing and happened to kick the ice drill when I went with it in my hand and it cut my foot quite badly.

It was noisy and boring because it ruined the fishing trip and prevents the training a little grand.

I can take out the stitches in 14 days, but then it should be calm.

I can do strength training and such, so it does not have to be that bad.

It was real, but everything is going well.

How many stitches were there?

- I'm not sure how many stitches there were inside, but outside there were five, says Hermansson.

Hermansson has played a total of 27 professional matches in MMA and won 21. He has been active and won eight matches in the UFC from 2016 onwards - second most of all in the middleweight class.
