McNeal, who was named Rollins before she married in 2017, has been suspended for the time being by the International Athletics Federation's integrity unit, AIU, because she is suspected of having manipulated the doping test.

What that means is not clear.

Her team announces today that the American McNeal has not tested positive for anything.

- We want to emphasize that Brianna has not tested positive for any banned substance in athletics, the team says according to Reuters.

McNeal would like to speak as soon as possible.

"Expecting to be acquitted"

- Brianna will request a hearing, where she expects to be acquitted and continue her career with the upcoming championships, the team continues around McNeal.

After the Olympic gold in Rio 2016, she was suspended during the 2017 World Cup season after having three misses in the stay reporting.

She was back in the WC in Doha 2019 but was washed for a jump start in the attempt.

Because 29-year-old McNeal has a doping conviction behind her, she risks up to eight years' suspension if she is convicted again.
