Neuville writes on Twitter that he will enter the new season with a new map reader.

- There are some changes going on, I will enter the season with Martijn Wydaeghe as my map reader, writes the 32-year-old Belgian.

- I want to thank Nicolas Gilsoul for the ten years together and all the good memories.

Jonas Kruse is skeptical.

- It is a partnership that has been around for ten years and joining a new map reader and replacement there will not be easy.

The interaction in the car is so much routine and it comes into play, that you have done this before.

Unproven countryman

The new map reader who will guide Neuville is thus an, at this level, untested compatriot from Belgium.

- No matter how much they know each other, it is a new partnership and they have not run together on this one.

- It is really not optimal conditions and it reduces the chances that Neuville will succeed in winning again this year.

All tests before Monte Carlo are done with Nicolas Gilsoui and of course it affects as well.

What it is that causes the duo to break up is not yet confirmed.

- It is speculated that it is money that governs, that Neuville wants to pay per competition instead of month.

But I have a hard time seeing that it is.

Cause unknown it feels like so far and it could be something else with.
