It was when relay debutant Oskar Brandt was to hand over Sebastian Samuelsson on the fourth leg that it became a little unnecessarily dramatic.
The TV pictures showed how the Swedish finisher leaned out to the exchange area - Samuelsson had run wrong.
But the miss did not seem to disturb the 23-year-old at all: He shot full, had the fifth best ride on the fourth leg and drove Sweden up from eleventh to seventh place.
