Handball World Cup: Angola and DRC fall from entry

Angola lost to Qatar on the first day of the group stage this Friday, January 15 (30-25), as did the DRC, which faced Argentina for its first World Cup (28-22).

Six years after its final in its World Cup at home, Qatar has not confirmed on the international scene.

She even missed her qualification for the Tokyo Olympics.

The gas emirate had revenge to take during this 2021 World Cup in Egypt.

For this first day of the group stage, Qatar dominated Angola (30-25).

The top Qatari scorers are called Ahmad Madadi (8 goals) and the Frankis Marzo-Allaedine Berrached tandem, each author of 7 goals.

In its group D, the Congolese team must play alongside Denmark, defending champion, Argentina which is in its 12th participation and Bahrain.

The first three of the eight groups of the 1st round qualify for the main round.
