35-year-old Australian Jason Doyle finished sixth in the 2020 World Cup series, and will be a nice reinforcement for the Ducks in 2021.

Doyle last drove in Dackarna in the 2015 season, before he was recruited by Rospiggarna the following year.

Then, just like now, the name of the recruiting manager is Mikael Teurnberg, who is now the new team leader in Dackarna.

Under Teurnberg's leadership, Doyle drove three seasons in Rospiggarna and took the Swedish Championship gold in 2016.

- I know Jason very well and recruited him from Dackarna 2015. When Rospiggarna took gold, he was a machine.

He was there during my last three years there and in addition to a gold, there was also a bronze and a fourth place, says Mikael Teurnberg.

Would not drive in Sweden

Doyle also did a fourth year in the Hallstavik club before he moved to Västervik in 2020.

It was actually intended that he would not drive in Sweden at all in 2021. But when his English club Swindon Robins decided not to start this season, there were changed plans for Doyle as well.

- When it became clear that Swindon would not start, I talked to "Micke" about driving in Dackarna.

I'm very happy to have this chance.

Partly because I had a good time last time I was in the club and also to have the opportunity to work with "Micke" again, says Jason Doyle.
