The Sharjah team topped the list of teams that have benefited the most from penalty kicks in the past 12 rounds of the Arab Gulf Football League, after scoring six goals from the penalty mark, which contributed to their ascending the championship standings with 29 points, two points ahead of the nearest pursuers Al Jazeera.

So far, the league has seen the teams score 26 penalty goals, and the Al Dhafra team came second on the ladder of the beneficiaries, for which four strikes were counted, then Al Wahda, Al Nasr, Fujairah, Bani Yas and Al Ain, and each of them got two penalties, while the Ajman teams got , Hatta, Al Wasl, Shabab Al Ahly, Al Jazeera, and Ittihad Kalba, on one penalty kick.

Khorfakkan is the only team that did not score any of its 12 goals in the league from penalty kicks, but got a kick that was in front of Al Ain without succeeding in taking advantage of it.

The previous rounds of the tournament also witnessed six goals with friendly fire, and the 11th round of the tournament was the highest goal-scoring round by scoring two goals, which were met by Al-Ain and Al-Dhafra by Japanese Shiotani and Muhammad Saif respectively.

Al-Ain player, Japanese Shiotani, tops the goal scoring list by mistake, as he previously scored another goal in round 10 in front of Al-Nassr, to score two goals against his team during the league so far.

The rest of the goals were ensured by Sharjah player Abdullah Jumah, who scored a goal by mistake in the Khorfakkan match, and the Brazilian Kalba Federation player Antinor Junior by mistake in his own goal during the Al-Jazira match, and Khorfakkan player Ahmed Issa Juma by mistake in the Shabab Al-Ahly match in the fifth round.

For his part, the Asian lecturer and goalkeeper coach, Zakaria Ahmed, confirmed that tackling the penalty kicks depends on focusing a large percentage of the goalkeeper, and making a decision in a short time, which is characteristic of a number of goalkeepers during their response to these kicks, such as Al Ain goalkeeper Khaled Issa and Al-Nasr goalkeeper Ahmed Champé, who saved two penalties with distinction, while the Sharjah player, Brazilian Igor, missed a penalty that collided with the crossbar.

Zakaria Ahmed told "Emirates Today": "The goals of friendly fire may be the goalkeeper to bear part of its responsibility, due to the absence of guidance, as coaching has become an essential thing for goalkeepers, and he must play his role in permanent guidance during matches, and directing has become one of the main tasks of a goalkeeper." Goal, but in general there is a great development in the level of goalkeepers, and good readiness, Ali Khasif, Fahad Al-Dhanhani and Adel Al Hosani are all going through a great period, and Khaled Issa is still Khaled, but he is going through a difficult period, due to the defense system of Al Ain team, which definitely affected in it"
