It was during yesterday that Häcken called for an extra annual meeting to vote on an admission of Gothenburg's women's team.

- I am of course very positive that Häcken has shown such great interest in taking over the team and thus save women's football in Gothenburg by making sure that there is a team left here.

So it feels exciting and hopefully it will happen, says Pauline Hammarlund to SVT Sport.

The opportunity to continue to practice their profession in Gothenburg is what the troupe sees as most positive.

- Of course that everyone is happy that there is an opportunity to continue playing football in Gothenburg, that is above all, she says.

"Of course it feels strange"

Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC was formed in 2004 when Kopparbergs / Landvetter changed cities.

Hammarlund has been involved for almost six years and for her, a possible merger is emotional.

- It is clear that it feels strange.

They have still built up a love for this club and they have been proud to represent Kopparbergs.

But everything is a habit and it can be good with it, she says.

So far, nothing is completely decided.

On January 27, Häcken has its extra annual meeting where it is up to the members to vote on the issue.

Hammarlund keeps his fingers crossed that it will be as the board proposes and does not know what will happen if it does not happen.

- We have not received much information about what applies then, if there are other clubs that are still in the discussion or what would happen in such a valley.

Now we focus on how it goes at the meeting and then we have to take it from there.
