The exact game schedule for the 2021 football season is not completely finished.

It is clear, however, that the intended premiere date for the two top series on the women's side, the damallsvenskan and the elite, will be 18 April.

The last round is then planned for 13 November for the damallsvenskan and 14 November for the elite.

The reason for starting a week later than the men's Swedish and the Superettan (April 11) is that the ladies have an international window April 5-13.

Tomas Hoszek, general secretary of the women's clubs' interest organization EFD, is confident despite the corona pandemic that the designated premiere date will apply.

- Last season, we showed emphatically that we can handle this type of issue in the middle of a burning pandemic, so that there is no spread of infection.

And that the situation would be worse in the spring this year than it was last spring, when everyone was taken to bed, I have a hard time believing that, says Hoszek.

"Good day, ax handle"

The more uncertainty he feels about when it may be relevant to have an audience in the stands again.

On Tuesday, a meeting was held where representatives from the Swedish Football Association, the Swedish Sports Confederation and the interest groups EFD (ladies) and Sef (men) met with the Swedish Public Health Agency.

But it did not give a direct lightening, says Tomas Hoszek.

- It was a good day, ax handle.

It was just to state that no one wants to do anything.

The public health authority follows the law, they say strictly.

But at the same time, the government says that they are acting on the advice of the Swedish Public Health Agency.

And they say that the law of order should not govern the pandemic situation.

It's very strange, says Hoszek.

Hoping for a premiere audience

He is particularly annoyed that different industries are judged differently.

Rules linked to the new pandemic law say, for example, that gyms and shops can receive visitors as long as they have ten square meters per person at their disposal.

At the same time, the ceiling for general gatherings, something that affects, for example, football matches, is fixed at eight people.

-It is deplorable that such an exception is placed on cultural and sporting events.

There is no logic in the whole world that you can have ten people on a hundred square meters in a store, but you can not have eight people in the Friends arena.

It's crazy.

It is so wrong that it does not exist, says Tomas Hoszek.

TT: Do you think there will be an audience in the stands when it's time for the premiere?

- I really hope so.

And we will not give up until we get rational explanations for why we do it this way.

- Everyone understands that outdoor activities where you can have a distance of ten to fifteen meters between each other, must be able to work.

You can not shut it down.

It is not OK.
