Paris Saint-Germain announced Tuesday the return of its superstar Neymar, recovered from an ankle injury, for the Champions Trophy against Marseille, Wednesday in Lens.

The Brazilian is one of four players to have received the medical green light, along with Presnel Kimpembe, Leandro Paredes and Danilo Pereira, according to PSG.

Pochettino preserves the suspense, but Neymar could start

Injured by a tackle from Lyonnais Thiago Mendes on December 13, “Ney” resumed collective training on Monday.

"I saw that he was working well, it's a joy to have him in the group," said goalkeeper Keylor Navas on Tuesday at a press conference.

🎙️ Mauricio Pochettino: “@neymarjr is available, he will be in the squad tomorrow.

We will decide tomorrow if he will play or if he will start as a substitute.

“He's trying to recover 100% to play the kind of game he loves.

We want to have him on the pitch, but it's a decision of the technical staff at the end, ”he continued.

The Parisian infirmary, full at the time of the truce, continues to empty, as PSG tries to gain momentum, with the knockout stages of the Champions League against FC Barcelona in their sights in February.

Kimpembé also back

Only side defender Juan Bernat (knee), long-injured, third goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier (elbow), as well as Colin Dagba, Thilo Kehrer and Rafinha, all in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19, are unavailable.

Paris finds Marseille on Wednesday, four months after losing its first "Clasico" in nine years (1-0), to win its first trophy of the season, and launch the mandate of its new coach Mauricio Pochettino, who replaced Thomas Tuchel at Christmas.
