The Top 14 are once again strongly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

This Tuesday, Stade Rochelais detected 15 new positive cases after a massive screening campaign.

A total of 152 people were tested on Monday.

Five members of the professional workforce are affected and ten from the Espoirs team.

These new cases are in addition to the four detected last week.

Faced with the worsening situation, Stade Rochelais has decided to close its training center at least until the end of the week.

Following the massive screening campaign carried out yesterday within the Club in order to stem the internal spread of COVID-19 (152 RT-PCR tests), 5 new cases were detected in the professional group and 10 in the Hope group.

New tests at the end of the week

"Members of the two groups are in solitary confinement awaiting new samples at the end of the week," said the club's statement.

The players were at rest last weekend after the postponement of their match against Racing 92. The next meeting of the Rochelais is scheduled against Bayonne on January 23 or 24.

"No case having been noted in the administrative team, the headquarters will resume its activity from this day", adds the club.
