The coach of the French women's handball team, Olivier Krumbholz, has been promoted to the rank of Knight of the National Order of Merit.

Arrived in 1998 and then removed from the team between 2013 and 2016, the year of his return to the helm, Krumbholz was rewarded for his entire career with a team he was able to impose at the highest level.

On the Messin's record, two world titles in 2003 and 2017, and a European title in 2018. He also offered silver to the Blue at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, at the Worlds in 1999, 2009 and 2011 as well as three medals bronze at the 2002, 2006 and 2016 Euros.

A promising Euro before the Olympics

During Euro-2020 last month, the Blue were beaten in the final by Norway (22-20).

But their journey in this competition appeared very encouraging for the real goal: the Tokyo Olympics.
