China News Service, January 11, according to the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System, "Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club Co., Ltd." has been renamed "Guangzhou Football Club Co., Ltd.".

This also means that the Guangzhou Evergrande Club has completed the step of industrial and commercial registration.

On December 8, 2020, Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that it plans to change the company's full name to "Guangzhou Football Club Co., Ltd.".

At the special governance meeting of professional leagues held on December 14 last year, the Chinese Football Association issued the "Notice on the Implementation of Non-Corporate Change of Club Names in Professional Leagues at All Levels", requiring club names not to contain any shareholders, related parties, or actual control. People’s font names, business names, or brand names must not use similar or similar Chinese or phrases.

In addition to Guangzhou Evergrande's change of name to Guangzhou Football Club, the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System showed that "Guangzhou R&F Football Club Co., Ltd." was renamed "Guangzhou City Football Club Co., Ltd." on December 15.

It is worth mentioning that on January 8 this year, the Football Association issued an announcement stating that in all club name change materials, more than 80% of clubs declared their names in compliance with relevant document requirements.

A small number of clubs need to modify it again due to inaccurate understanding of the document requirements, or the declared name is connected with the club’s shareholder affiliated company.
