Dybala's injury keeps him out of action for 20 days

Argentine striker Paulo Dybala suffers from a knee injury that he suffered on Sunday in the 3-1 victory over Sassuolo in the local league, and he will be out of action for a period of 15 to 20 days, as his club announced Monday.

"Paulo Dybala, this morning, underwent tests at the medical center, which showed that he had a ligament in his left knee," an official statement said.

"The player will need between 15 and 20 days to recover."

Dybala will therefore miss the summit meeting against Inter Milan in the league next Sunday.

Dybala had made two decisive passes, one of them with a wonderful technical move with the heel, when his team beat Milan 3-1 last Wednesday, to catch the latter, his first loss this season.

Dybala was not a key player at the start of the season, but coach Andrea Pirlo found a place in the starting line-up to play in the front line alongside Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus suffers from several absences in its ranks due to the emerging Corona virus, which affected Brazilian Alex Sandro, Colombian Juan Cuadrado and Dutchman Matias de Ligt.

The champions of the league in the past nine seasons said that tests had not shown any serious injury to the American midfielder, Stone McKinney, who was knocked out of Sunday's match only 18 minutes after its start, but the medical staff was monitoring his condition.
