The joint voluntary training of new players of professional baseball Seibu has begun, and Kento Watanabe, who joined the team from Toin University of Yokohama in the first draft, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I want to do it at my own pace."

The joint voluntary training of Seibu's new players began on the 10th at the stadium of the 2nd army in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, and all 12 people participated, including training players such as Watanabe, who was the first in the draft.

While Hatsuhiko Tsuji and Kazuo Matsui, the 2nd army coach, visited the tournament, the players all started stretching and running, and then were knocked at the indoor practice area.

Watanabe was practicing without throwing the ball, considering the condition of his right shoulder that he hurt in the game last November.

Watanabe, who was interviewed online, said, "It was a light practice, but I was very tired. I am talking with the trainer to do it without rushing, so I am following the instructions."

After that, he expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I want to do it at my own pace so that I can bring my best to the camp."

Director Tsuji, who visited the tournament, said, "I think there are players who are expected to be ready for action and players who stand with Lions, so I'm looking forward to the future."

Seibu's newcomers will be jointly trained until the 27th of this month to prepare for the spring camp starting on the 1st of next month.
