Real Madrid player Zinedine Zidane was furious on Saturday after the 0-0 draw against Osasuna.

Storm Filomeno meant that the game was played on a frozen and snowy field.

"This had nothing to do with football. This game should never have been played," Zidane grumbled at the press conference after the Pamplona game.

The Real Madrid selection sat on the plane for four hours on Friday before it could take off for the flight to the northern region of Navarre.

Twenty centimeters of snow had fallen in Madrid, causing major congestion.

It wasn't until after midnight that the players arrived in Pamplona.

"The union has decided that the game should be played, but playing football on this frozen field was actually impossible," said Zidane.

"The whole selection is very angry about it."

Courtois even more angry than Zidane

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was even more angry than his trainer.

"We're just people, not dolls. We were part of a show today that has to go on and on."

"On the way to the stadium the bus drove on a road full of snow," said the Belgian keeper.

"We have to think about the safety of the players. We also have family. It's a pity that La Liga forced us to play today."

Duel leader Atlético canceled

Real does not yet know how and when it will return to the Spanish capital.

Madrid airport is closed at least until Sunday afternoon.

"We don't know how to get home and what we're going to do on Sunday," said Zidane.

"But my biggest complaint is about the game, you can't play under these conditions. I know I'm repeating myself, but that's just the way it is."

Real as number two has ten loss points more than Atlético Madrid, whose match against Athletic Bilbao was canceled on Saturday.

On Thursday a home game with the Basques is scheduled for 'de Koninklijke'.
