Ahead of the two mixed biathlon relays today, the International Biathlon Federation came up with the news: Eight corona cases have been found in the camp.

The affected countries are Bulgaria, Japan and the Czech Republic.

The former has as many as six positive covid tests the other two have one each.

But the national team's head coach Johannes Lukas is not worried that the corona infection will spread further.

"Actually, it's positive"

- No absolutely not.

I really think it's positive because it proves they have good tests.

And it is normal, if you have several hundred people around you, that you have someone who is positive, says Lukas and continues.

- We stay away from everyone else and we have been tested negative.

We are not really worried and focus on the competition.

There is one month left until the World Cup, how important is this before the World Cup?

- No, it's not so important if you think about the WC, but fun that we have the first singles and mixed relay.

We have a good team in both relays.

But there is not much focus on the World Cup right now.
