A cooperation agreement between the UAE and Iraqi football federations

The Emirates Football Association today signed a cooperation agreement with the Iraqi Football Association, during a press conference held today at the headquarters of the Football Association in Dubai, in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, and Iyad Bunyan, head of the normalization body of the Iraqi Football Association.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Football Association, confirmed that the UAE Federation seeks, through signing cooperation agreements, to strengthen its relations with the national federations that manage the popular game, because the strong relations allow us to benefit from experiences and exchange experiences in all technical, administrative, arbitration and other fields.



He stressed that the brotherly Iraqi Federation is known for its football and star-making achievements, and it is one of the ancient federations in the Asian continent, and has popular football competitions, and Iraqi clubs offer many talents that prove their presence in foreign leagues, and we look forward to sharing our experiences with our Iraqi brothers and getting to know more Successful Iraqi football experiences.



Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said: "The Emirates Football Association provides all support and assistance and puts all its capabilities at the disposal of Iraqi football in order to achieve its goals and the aspirations of its vast fans."



He added, "We are confident that this agreement will benefit us all, and we hope for the return of the State of Iraq to host continental and international matches and tournaments. May God preserve the state of Iraq on security and stability."



In turn, Iyad Bunyan, head of the normalization body of the Iraqi Football Association, thanked Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, president of the Football Association, for his guidance, support and sponsorship of the Iraqi national teams' camps that are held in our second country, the United Arab Emirates, with which we have great historical relations.



Iyad Bunyan indicated that the signing of the cooperation agreement will have a great impact on Iraqi football activity in general and the Iraqi sports street, especially as it is the first popular game in our country, and we hope to benefit from the exchange of experiences between the two brotherly federations.



He added, "The UAE team is one of the strong Arab and Asian teams, and we wish him and our Iraqi team success in their preparations for the benefits of next March, and we hope to host and confront the UAE national team on the land of Iraq in the near future, God willing."
